Job Title: General Cover Teacher
Location: East of England, Cambridgeshire, Cambridge
Salary: £130 - £180 Per day
Benefits: PAYE
The General Cover Teacher will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons to students across various subjects in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Duties include maintaining a positive learning environment, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring all students engage with the learning material. We are working with our partner schools in the Cambridge area on a variety of day to day supply as well as short and long term block bookings! Whether you are available on a full or part time basis we want to hear from you.
Job Duties:
Deliver high-quality teaching to cover for absent teachers across various subjects and year groups
Manage classroom behaviour to ensure a conducive learning environment
Follow the school's policies and procedures in delivering lessons
Assess and provide feedback on students' work
Collaborate with other teaching staff to ensure continuity in learning
Typical working hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
May require flexibility in covering different subjects and year groups
Required Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Enhanced DBS check
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
Experience:
Recent experience teaching in a similar role, that can be referenced
Experience working with diverse student populations
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum
Excellent classroom management skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
