FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Data and Analytics Strategy Analyst to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Halifax with the option to attend the Leeds office once per week. Our client is seeking a Senior Data and Analytics Strategy Analyst to join a team on a transformational journey to unlock the huge untapped data potential of the largest mortgage lender in Europe. This is the beginning of the journey so the role holder will be involved in shaping and delivering data products and services to transform their business. Currently the client’s data is managed through legacy, often disconnected strategies and methodologies. The implementation of modern strategies and cloud-based technologies will enable them to release huge value to their customers, colleagues and the organisation, such as: more personalised customer journeys, more intuitive pricing strategies, removal of legacy technical debt, leading to more responsive applications and services that are available when our customers and colleagues need them, the list goes on. Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide data and analytics strategies aligned with business objectives Define and manage a data and analytics roadmap, identifying key initiatives that support digital transformation, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making Partner with senior leadership across business units to understand strategic priorities and translate them into actionable data initiatives Collaborate with data governance teams to ensure data quality, consistency, compliance, and integrity across platforms Drive the adoption of business intelligence tools and dashboards that provide actionable insights to key stakeholders Support the design and delivery of advanced analytics solutions (e.g., predictive modeling, segmentation, scenario planning) to solve complex business problems Requirements Minimum of 5 years’ experience completing detailed and complex data analysis, to drive customer, colleague and commercial value Experience independently discovering and analysing business tools in various languages to follow the path of data, in order to understand, then map: data dictionaries and lineage Ability to deliver data technology change across software and infrastructure (both on-prem and cloud, ideally GCP) Good understanding of modern data strategy, such as the producer / consumer model and creating data products in order to release value Able to educate both technical and non-technical stakeholders on the importance of: modern data strategies, good data quality and governance Experienced in data story-telling to bring the stakeholders along and enhance visibility of the value a data product can add Prior experience developing tools within Financial Services, specifically mortgages would be advantageous Experience with Data Science techniques (e.g. statistical modelling, unsupervised or supervised Machine Learning) A broad understanding of the regulations and legal framework impacting the mortgage industry is desirable Why join us Career coaching, mentoring and access to upskilling throughout your entire FDM career Assignments with global companies and opportunities to work abroad Opportunity to re-skill and up-skill into new areas, develop non-linear career paths and build a skillset within your field Annual leave, work-place pension and BAYE share scheme About FDM We are a business and technology consultancy and one of the UK's leading employers, recruiting the brightest talent to become the innovators of tomorrow.
