Finance Manager | Permanent |Full-Time | Ayrshire
I'm working with a long-established, owner-led manufacturing and joinery business to recruit a hands-on Finance Manager who will take full ownership of the finance function across three entities.
This is a key, standalone role where you'll work closely with the owner, playing a vital part in supporting day-to-day operations while ensuring the smooth running of all finance activity across the group.
The Opportunity
This is a broad, end-to-end role suited to someone who enjoys autonomy and responsibility. You'll be the go-to person for finance, managing everything from transactional activity through to year-end.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Preparation of year-end accounts across three businesses
2. Full ownership of purchase & sales ledger (Sage 50)
3. Managing intercompany transactions
4. Producing trial balance and management-level accounts
5. Liaising with Lloyds Finance and factoring providers
6. Running payroll, including HMRC and NIC submissions
7. Managing pensions administration
8. Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
9. Overseeing monthly invoicing and VAT processes
10. Handling holiday pay calculations
11. Supporting with wider operational and administrative tasks
What We're Looking For
12. Strong all-round accounting experience, ideally within an SME or owner-managed business
13. Confident user of Sage 50
14. Comfortable operating in a standalone role with full ownership
15. Organised, reliable, and proactive - someone who naturally takes the lead
Salary & Benefits
16. £40,000 - £45,000
