Are you an experienced Buyer or Commercial Manager looking for a new challenge in a dynamic and growing organisation?
We’re working with a leading national buying group in the foodservice sector, seeking a talented individual to join their Head Office Commercial team. This is a varied role where you’ll influence product development, supplier relationships, and commercial strategy.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships, negotiate terms, and monitor performance.
* Product Sourcing: Identify and source new products aligned with market needs.
* Own Label Development: Manage and develop branded products in collaboration with suppliers.
* Sales Analysis: Review historical data to identify trends and opportunities.
* Pricing & Promotions: Update pricing weekly and manage promotional campaigns.
* Marketing Coordination: Support marketing initiatives to boost product visibility.
* Quality Control: Conduct sample testing to ensure standards are met.
* Business Development: Visit members and suppliers to strengthen partnerships.
* Communication: Produce a weekly newsletter for stakeholders.
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in purchasing and commercial roles.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
