Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize large-scale data solutions. You will work closely with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Solution Architects, as well as business stakeholders, to deliver robust, scalable data pipelines and reporting solutions. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our data products and ensuring data-driven decision-making across the organization.


Requirements

* Minimum 5 years hands-on experience working with terabyte-scale databases and high-volume data systems
* Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including:
* Data modeling (logical & physical), normalization, denormalization
* ETL design and orchestration
* Performance optimization and scalability
* Data quality, governance, and security
* Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS)
* Proficiency in AWS Cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Glue)
* Experience with Terraform for IaC and automation
* Ability to translate non-technical requirements into technical solutions
* Strong documentation skills
* Advanced MS Excel (complex formulas, PowerPivot, VBA)
* Python experience for data wrangling and automation
* Worked with various cloud technologies
* Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
* Familiarity with AWS governance frameworks and compliance standards
* Domain expertise in retail, banking, CRM, loyalty programs, or digital marketing
* Degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.)


Responsibilities

* Lead the design and implementation of ETL pipelines and data lakes in AWS for scalable and efficient data access
* Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Architects to integrate data solutions into analytics and applications
* Develop and optimize data architectures for terabyte-scale relational and distributed systems
* Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automated deployments
* Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across all environments
* Translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable solutions
* Drive performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization for high-volume datasets
* Automate workflows and enforce best practices for data quality and lineage tracking
* Provide QA and peer review support for team deliverables
* Produce clear, structured documentation for processes and solutions
