Are you an experienced Foundry or Melting professional looking to take ownership of a critical manufacturing department within a long-established and highly invested UK foundry operation?
Do you have experience leading furnace operations, improving efficiencies and driving quality standards within a heavy manufacturing or castings environment?

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Melting Manager to take full responsibility for melting operations, leading a skilled team while driving quality, efficiency and continuous improvement across the department.
The Role:
* Lead and manage all melting department activities across cupola and electric furnace operations
* Plan, organise and oversee furnace charging and melting activities to meet production requirements
* Ensure all metal produced meets required grade specifications and quality standards
* Authorise release of melts in line with Atas profiles and operating specifications
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste and optimise output quality
* Monitor and control departmental costs including labour and overtime
The Person:
* Experience within foundry, melting or heavy manufacturing environments
* Strong understanding of furnace operations, metal grades and process control
