Description
* Oversee the organisation's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
* Provide strategic financial guidance to the leadership team and trustees.
* Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including management accounts and annual statements.
* Manage cash flow and oversee the organisation's investments and reserves.
* Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
* Supervise and support the finance team to maintain efficient operations.
* Implement and maintain robust financial controls and systems.
Profile
A successful Finance Director should have:
* A professional accounting qualification CIMA or qualified by experience.
* Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the not-for-profit, charity or SME
* Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements, including charity finance, SORP, restricted funding and gift aid.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
* Experience in managing budgets, cash flow, and reporting processes.
* A collaborative approach to working with teams and stakeholders.
* Experience in line managing staff
Job Offer
* A competitive salary of approximately £53,000 - £56,000 per annum (pro rata).
