Rate: £500–£525 per day

About the Role
A large public sector organisation is seeking a Procurement Policy Lead to develop, embed, and maintain a suite of procurement policies and procedures. This role will drivepliance, transparency, and continuous improvement across procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain procurement policies and operational procedures.
2. Standardise templates for procurement activities (, tender documents, evaluation forms).
3. Ensure policies reflect legislation and best practice.
4. Deliver training and guidance to staff on policies and procedures.
5. Drive cultural change towards consistent andpliant procurement practices.
6. Managepliance with transparency obligations under the Procurement Act 2023.
7. Develop and implement transparency frameworks, including templates and guidance for publishing notices.
8. Respond to national procurement policy developments and translate priorities into local objectives.
9. Lead and support priority initiatives and manage staff.
Essential Experience
10. Strong knowledge of procurement legislation and best practice.
11. Experience developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures.
12. Ability to managepliance and transparency obligations.
13. Skilled in stakeholder engagement and cultural change.
14. Leadership experience, including managing staff.
