An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, proactive, and self-motivated physiotherapist with excellent caseload management and communication skills to work within the Short Term Support Service Team in the Blyth locality.
This role aims to enable patients with various conditions to achieve maximum independence within their own environment by providing specialist physiotherapy assessments and interventions. The team includes registered Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Technical Instructors, and Occupational Therapy Assistants.

The successful candidate must be flexible and adaptable. We follow an integrated therapeutic approach, and we seek candidates with broad experience in MSK, falls, neurological conditions, and general elderly frailty/multiple comorbidities.
The main duties include:
1. Triage and prioritize new referrals into the service.
2. Manage a diverse caseload of patients, organizing effectively according to clinical priorities and time management.
3. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including those with complex presentations, using clinical reasoning skills.
4. Support patients with goal setting, education, and care planning to help them reach their potential. Work collaboratively with patients, relatives, reablement staff, and external agencies.
5. Complete required training and pursue ongoing professional development.
6. Provide line management, supervision, support, guidance, and training to Technical Instructors and students.
