Milk Education Liverpool is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Southport to recruit a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to start after May half term or from September.
This role is ideal for:
1. Graduates with a subject specialism who are looking to gain hands-on experience in education
2. Individuals considering a future career in teaching (full cover supervisor training provided)
3. Experienced support staff or professionals from childcare-related backgrounds
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task and follow the pre-set lesson plans provided by the school.
Key Responsibilities:
4. Delivering prepared lesson materials set by teaching staff
5. Managing classroom behaviour effectively and confidently
6. Ensuring a safe, productive, and respectful learning environment
7. Communicating clearly with students, staff, and the wider school team
What We’re Looking For
8. Confidence to lead and control a classroom
9. Excellent communication skills
10. A positive, adaptable, and proactive attitude
11. Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
