About the Role: Ourgloballyrenowned aerospaceclientis seekingan Instructional Systems Designer toplaya crucial role in enabling customers to safely operate and maintain our platforms and services. They will undertake a structured and analytical process to assess training needs and develop tailored training solutionsforformaldelivery.Thisincludesproducinghigh-qualitytrainingmaterialbasedonastrong understanding of learning principles, the effective use of learning technologies, skills development, behavioural change, and the requirements of instructors.
As part of the Training Development Team, the post-holder will contribute to the creation of mission- criticaltrainingessentialtoboththecompanyandthedefenceandsecurityofourcustomers.Theroleis fast-paced and continually evolving, and the successful candidate will benefit from comprehensive personal and professional development opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Analysecustomertrainingrequirementstodefinecourseobjectives,content,andappropriate design methodologies.
Design,developandevaluatebespoketechnicaltraining,assessments,andassuranceartefacts in close collaboration with subject matter experts.
Delivertrainingsolutionsthatmeetstringentquality,regulatoryandcompanystandards, embedding a first-time-quality culture.
Promoteandupholdsafetybyidentifyingrisks,modellingsafebehaviours,andsupportinga proactive safety culture.
Collectdataforproposalsandcontributetoreportsonthedesign,implementationand evaluation of training programmes.
Coachandmentorcolleagues,providingguidanceoninstructionaldesignmethodologiesand activities.
Identifyopportunitiesforinnovation,exploringnewinstructionalmethods,technologiesand tools to enhance training solutions.
RequiredSkillsand Experience: Atleastthreeyearsexperienceindesigninghigh-qualitylearning solutions.
Strongunderstandingofadultlearningprinciples,instructionaldesignandevaluation methods.
Experiencedevelopingandassuringinstructor-ledanddistance-learningcourseware,ideally within aerospace, energy, transport or manufacturing.
WorkingknowledgeoftheSystemsApproachtoTraining(SAT),orMODJSP822andthe Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT).
FullUKdrivinglicenceandwillingnesstotraveltoindustryandMoD sites.
Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunication skills.
Abilitytoworkindependently,collaborativelyand remotely.
StrongITskills,includingproficiencywithMicrosoftOfficeandtemplate-based documentation.
PreferredSkillsand Experience: ExperienceusingAdobeStoryline 360.
Familiaritywithrotaryorfixed-wingaircrew,missioncrew,groundcrew,mechanicaloravionics systems (desirable but not essential).
