Are you an experienced Construction Programmer or Project Planner looking to take ownership of planning across major structural steel projects in the UK and Ireland?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading structural steel fabrication and construction business, known for its innovation, quality, and investment in people and technology.
🔧 The Role
Reporting to the Operations Director, you’ll be responsible for centralising and maintaining project and labour programmes across both pre-construction and live sites — ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage detailed construction and tender programmes.
* Integrate schedules with 3D models using 4D software.
* Conduct site visits and monitor project progress.
* Produce weekly lookahead programmes and manage critical paths.
* Support tenders with realistic, data-driven schedules.
* Identify risks, delays, and opportunities for improvement.
🎯 What You’ll Bring
* 3+ years’ experience in construction planning or a Project Manager with strong programming expertise.
* Solid understanding of project lifecycles – design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Project (or similar).
* Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
