Role Overview As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple live sites across the Essex area. You’ll oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring quality, safety, and cost-efficiency while leading and supporting site teams. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee delivery of multiple groundworks and enabling projects across the region Manage site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials to meet programme targets Ensure strict compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures Coordinate with commercial, engineering, and procurement teams to optimise delivery Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders Resolve site issues proactively and drive projects to successful completion Review project performance and manage risk, cost, and resource planning What We’re Looking For Essential: Demonstrable experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager in groundworks or enabling works Solid technical knowledge of drainage, foundations, earthworks, and infrastructure Strong leadership and site coordination skills Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications Full UK driving licence Desirable: Experience working with Tier 1 contractors or developers Background in civil engineering or site management Strong commercial acumen and familiarity with project costing and planning tools What’s on Offer Competitive salary package Car allowance or company vehicle Long-term pipeline of secured work Supportive and fast-growing company culture Clear progression opportunities and professional development Ready to take the lead on major enabling projects with a forward-thinking contractor?
