The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a commitment to continual improvement in Safety, Quality and Productivity in all areas of manufacturing. As a Cable Maker you will be required to work flexibly across multiple processes and operations. Working safely, within specified training and risk assessments whilst supporting a culture of Zero Harm through your behaviour. Key Tasks: · Running machines/processes to achieve the highest possible output. · Carrying out support activity whilst your machine is running, such as; Set-Up Preparation, Quality In-Process testing & Measurement, Cleaning/Housekeeping, Data entry/recording and material supply. · Commitment and Focus on Right First Time principles and Waste minimisation. Successful applicant will ideally have: · Previous experience of working in a factory environment. · Enthusiasm and be highly motivated. · Strong safety ethic and personal safety record. · Possess a high level of drive, energy and commitment. Positive attitude prepared to take the initiative and make decisions that support operational targets. · Excellent interpersonal, team working and communication skills. · Basic keyboards skills and IT aptitude for, maintaining work records and relevant data recording. · Good standard of education, achieving GSCE level or equivalent in Maths and English as a minimum.
