Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role requires attention to detail, along with the capability to work collaboratively with others. The Skilled Labourer will contribute to various projects, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
The main role will involve setting up of shutters within the factory for precast moulds so it is vital that candidates are comfortable with reading measurements and following technical drawings to carry out the relevant joinery tasks. Previous experience working in a precast concrete environment is preferable but not vital for the role.
Responsibilities
* Carry out general labouring tasks as directed by supervisors or project managers.
* Assist in the setup and dismantling of equipment and structures.
* Perform manual handling duties, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
* Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management promptly.
* Follow instructions carefully to ensure quality workmanship.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a labouring role or similar position is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects.
* Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
* A valid driving licence is beneficial but not mandatory.
