Site Manager – Wakefield
Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 per annum
Hours: 40 per week, 5 out of 7 days (including weekends/evenings)
Contract: Permanent
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead our facilities management operation at a busy distribution centre in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. You’ll be responsible for delivering a high-quality soft services FM solution, building strong relationships with the customer, and managing a large onsite janitorial team to ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness, safety and compliance.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Lead and develop a large operational cleaning team, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH.
2. Manage service delivery against KPIs, SLAs and budget targets.
3. Maintain strong daily communication with the customer and service partners.
4. Oversee audits, statutory compliance and FM project activity.
5. Drive continuous improvement and efficiency across the site.
6. Recruit, train and support colleagues, managing performance and building a positive team culture.
About You

7. Proven leadership experience within soft services FM, ideally in distribution or large-space commercial environments.
8. Strong understanding of cleaning operations, compliance and safety standards.
9. Ability to analyse data and performance metrics to drive outcomes.
10. Excellent communication, people management and relationship-building skills.
11. Resilient, proactive and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
