Internal Fully Qualified Paramedic – Bank Opportunities (Pan Wales)
Are you a fully qualified Paramedic currently employed by WAST and interested in joining our Bank workforce?
We’re offering flexible Bank contracts available across Wales, giving you the opportunity to support front line services while maintaining a healthy work–life balance.
As part of the recruitment process, candidates will be required to complete:
* An interview
* A driving assessment
* An OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination)
Successful applicants will also attend a three-week training course, starting on 9th March 2026 at Pentwyn, Cardiff (South Wales).
Please note: Candidates must obtain permission from their line manager to attend the training course if successful.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
* A recognised Higher Education paramedic qualification (Dip HE) or Successfully completed an approved Paramedic Training Programme.
* Registered Paramedic with the Health and Care Professionals Council.
* A recognised Higher Education Paramedic qualification (with recognised equivalent experience).
* IHCD Advanced Driving Programme 11(D2) (BTEC Level 3 in Emergency Ambulance Driving.
Experience
Essential criteria
* Significant experience in dealing with complex clinical and environmental situations.
* Knowledge of current clinical evidence based medicine.
* Knowledge and understanding of Clinical Governance.
