Position Summary
To provide dedicated Health and Safety support to the Washington Plant.
Responsibilities
Maintain the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards, including updating and implementing policies and procedures as required
Review and update the legal register as required
Manage the risk assessment process
Oversee first aid arrangements
Organise and deliver training
Update HSE metrics
Write and issue reports as required
Write and issue Health and Safety briefings
Carry out regular safety audits and tours
Conduct Health and Safety & Environmental monitoring and assessments
Chair Health and Safety meetings and issue minutes
Coordinate accident and incident investigations, maintain logs and statistics, and ensure actions are completed
Liaise with the HSE and other regulatory bodies as required
Develop and run Health and Safety initiatives
Manage PPE
Oversee contractor procedures and permits to work
Undertake any other duties commensurate with the position as and when required
What We Are Looking For
Qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate level
At least 5 years' experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental practice within a manufacturing environment
Experience as an internal auditor
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Practical auditing experience of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
