About the Role
Stanza Living is hiring a Legal Compliance Specialist who is meticulous and well-versed in India’s regulatory landscape. The ideal candidate will have a sound legal background, a good understanding of operations, and experience in managing compliance across multiple states.
Eligibility Criteria
* LLB or LLM with 7–10 years of relevant experience in legal and compliance roles
* In-depth knowledge of corporate law, labour laws, FSSAI norms, and municipal licensing procedures
* Prior experience in real estate, hospitality, or fast-paced startups preferred
* Strong ability to handle compliance across multiple jurisdictions
* Excellent legal drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a high-growth environment
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee legal and regulatory compliance across all operational states
* Manage and renew licences and permits (e.g., Trade, FSSAI, Labour, Shops & Establishments)
* Draft, review, and maintain contracts, legal documents, notices, and audit records
* Coordinate with local/state authorities, regulators, and external legal teams
* Conduct internal audits and guide teams on corrective measures
* Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes, offering proactive compliance guidance
* Track corporate compliance status and ensure timely submissions and filings
* Lead training sessions to build legal awareness and improve compliance across teams
