Why we want you
We are committed to supporting blind veterans, providing essential social interaction where they cannot reach our centres and feel isolated. A home visit—once a week or fortnight—offers friendly companionship, a chat and a cup of tea, helps with small tasks around the house, and encourages local engagement. Your role will never involve personal care, ensuring a clear responsibility boundary.
What you will be doing
* Provide friendly and reliable social interaction for veterans
* Encourage veterans to engage in community activities and lunch clubs
* Support veterans with daily tasks they might otherwise struggle to complete (excluding personal care or cleaning duties)
