WE Talent are hiring for an Part-time Finance Assistant for our client in Billericay.
A well-established business in Billericay is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone looking for a flexible working pattern, offering 32 hours per week with the ability to tailor hours to suit your schedule (e.g. 4 full days or shorter hours over 5 days).
You will be supporting the finance function across a range of day-to-day duties, working closely with management and the wider team to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Processing sales and purchase invoices
*
Reconciling bank statements and daily income
*
Managing petty cash and staff expense claims
*
Assisting with payroll preparation
*
Supporting VAT returns and ledger maintenance
*
Preparing internal reports and financial summaries
*
Liaising with suppliers and resolving invoice queries
*
Providing ad hoc finance and administrative support as needed
Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience in a finance/accounts assistant role
*
Comfortable using accounting software and Excel
*
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*
Good organisational and time management skills
*
A team player with a flexible, can-do attitude

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
