Job Summary
I am a shy young man of primary school age and my mother are looking for a patient and responsible support worker to help me access local community and amenities.
Desired qualities include knowledge of local areas and an interest in gaming, computers and technology so that our hobbies can be pursued together.
Responsibilities
* Accompany me to the local swimming pool each week.
* Assist with other weekly activities: 3 hours every other week during term time and 6 hours per week during school holidays.
* Help me pursue gaming, computers and technology hobbies.
* Arrange and agree hours with the employer in advance.
Hours of Work
* Weekly: 2 hours at the swimming pool + 3 hours every other week during term time.
* School holidays: 6 hours per week.
* Hours are arranged and mutually agreed in advance.
Application and Employment Details
* Appointing entity: an individual employer (not Ceredigion County Council).
* Subject to an enhanced DBS check at no cost to the applicant.

* Two satisfactory references may be required if requested by the employer.
* Trial period of 1 month and a probationary period of up to 6 months.
* Wages paid in arrears on a 4‑weekly basis, following provision of a valid National Insurance number.
* Applicant must be eligible to work in the UK; document checks will be conducted before commencement.
* Full statutory entitlements and annual leave as set out in the employment contract.
* Mandatory training identified as relevant to this post will be required; the cost will be covered through direct payment.
