PMO Manager - Department Lead
Location: East Midlands (Hybrid)
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: Up to £75,000
iO Associates are working with a specialist healthcare technology provider and they are looking for an experienced PMO Manager to lead the Projects Department. This role is key to ensuring the successful delivery of a portfolio of SaaS implementation projects for private healthcare clients.
You'll manage a team of project professionals, oversee planning and resource allocation, and ensure consistent, on-time delivery across all engagements. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, stakeholder management, and hands-on PMO experience, ideally within the private healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the PMO function, overseeing portfolio delivery and team structure
* Manage project performance, planning, resource allocation, and risk
* Drive quality assurance and consistency across delivery teams
* Engage regularly with internal and external stakeholders (including private hospital clients)
* Support ongoing transformation across the delivery function
Essential Skills & Experience
* Experience running or leading within a PMO or project delivery function, ideally in a SaaS or healthcare environment
* Strong people leadership and line management experience
* Confidence engaging in technical discussions (particularly around SQL databases and integrations - hands-on experience not required)
* A collaborative and supportive management style - with the ability to push back constructively when needed
* Experience delivering software or technology projects, ideally in private healthcare or healthtech (e.g. EPR, healthcare systems)
Desirable
* Understanding of SQL databases
