Stock and Compliance Supervisor

Role Overview:
The stock and compliance supervisor is responsible for the management of the team, ensuring adherence to safety and policies within the business and achieving performance targets. To oversee stock management and ensure compliance with relevant internal policies within the organisation. The role combines stock management with a strong focus on maintaining adherence to company procedures and business requirements. The supervisor is responsible for tasks inclusive of monitoring stock, conducting audits and ensuring that all activities are carried out in line within the framework to prevent risk, discrepancies and operational inefficiencies. There will be occasions where you will work closely with suppliers where deliveries are non-compliant and escalate where required to the wider JD business. We require subject matter experts in key roles to provide consistency of processes and management of stock and compliance across the DC.
Key Responsibilities:
Enforce strict adherence to Health and Safety regulations, ensuring all colleagues are following the policiesLead and manage a team of stock and compliance championsAssign tasks and monitor team performance to ensure productivity and adherence to company standardsProvide guidance and support to team members on procedures and safetyFoster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, and motivating colleagues to achieve performance goalsConduct 121s and probation reviewsIdentify areas for improvement, implement corrective actions and report on performance to your line managerTrack and report on KPI's, non compliance, inbound performance and stock inaccuraciesProvide regular updates to line manager on department activities and challengesSupport continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with departments to ensure smooth operations and people team management in line with company policiesTo undertake additional duties in line with business requirementsEffective communication with the team to ensure business and departmental objectives are understood
