Our client is seeking a highly motivated Network Coordination Officer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is essential in managing and coordinating streetworks in compliance with relevant legislation and ensuring minimal disruption to the road network.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering duties under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA) and Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA)
* Evaluating and managing the coordination, inspection, and enforcement of highway activities
* Assessing permit applications for accuracy and compliance with the London Permit Scheme
* Issuing fixed penalty notices, defects, and other NRSWA related requirements
* Monitoring permit applications and major projects to identify work clashes and collaboration opportunities
* Managing external inspections throughout the borough and coordinating on‑street activities for safety and compliance
* Producing and maintaining comprehensive records and reports of all street works activities
* Liaising with utility companies, emergency services, and other stakeholders to coordinate highway activities and address emergencies
Job Requirements
* Experience in a street works related environment with a solid understanding of relevant legislation
* Proven expertise in traffic management and permit application assessments
* Confident use of relevant IT systems and software for monitoring and coordination
