Quality Supervisor Attractive Salary & Benefits 36.5 Hour week Newtownabbey Who are we? A look into the role Reporting to the Group Quality Assurance Manager, the purpose of this role is to work in partnership with relevant stakeholders to ensure fresh food products and suppliers meet Henderson Group specifications in relation to food safety, legality, quality, freshness, and sustainability. This is an invaluable role in the continued development of the Groups total quality management agenda with specific focus on fresh food. This position will allow the successful candidate to maintain a quality management system, that focuses on delivering customer satisfaction and continuous business improvement. Working as Quality Supervisor you will: Ensure the required specification from own brand supply and receiving standards from all suppliers. Develop and manage quality conformance targets and communication of KPI metrics to the supply base. Analyse and challenging supplier performance against KPIs Maintain a record of supplier non-conformances and corrective actions and ensure these are sufficiently investigated to prevent re-occurrence Perform internal warehouse hygiene and GMP audits to ensure standards remain to a very high standard. Benchmark product standards against specification and market equivalents. Follow-up complaints with suppliers and provide customer responses on incidents where relevant. Issue (when relevant) alert notices on product recalls as directed. Review Product shelf-life seasonally and agree changes with Suppliers where relevant The Quality supervisors will where be required complete supplier visits and audits where required by risk assessment or to complete investigations Agree product concessions with suppliers and ensure all relevant departments are kept informed of changes. Supporting the New Product Development processes with specification design and supplier conformance targets and liaise with retail and wholesale customers on fresh food quality issues. Skills for Success The minimum criteria youll need is: Completed a food-related qualification (ND, HND, or degree) OR at least 2 years experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment Previous QA Experience in Manufacturing or Warehouse environment Knowledge of food safety system HACCP Level 2 Food Hygiene Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Clean UK Driving License The Attributes youll need include: Excellent organisational skills Proven ability to work independently and on own initiative. Strong communication skills and ability to build successful stakeholder relationships. Strong communication and ability to influence successfully It is desirable if you have: Allergen training Level 3 Food Hygiene HACCP Level 3 Level 2 Internal Audit Previous experience within Warehouse and Distribution of FMCG Previous experience in business improvement projects Are we right for you?
