The Opportunity
You'll take ownership of company-wide training and development, ensuring every employee has the skills, support, and confidence to excel. Supported by a Training Administrator, you'll focus on strategic development, programme design, and measuring impact.

Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement a company-wide training and development strategy aligned with business objectives.
2. Conduct Training Needs Analyses (TNA) and design effective blended learning solutions (online, workshop, and on-the-job).
3. Coordinate Toolbox Talks, compliance, and technical training sessions.
4. Support onboarding, induction, and competency frameworks across departments.
5. Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and report on KPIs, compliance, and outcomes.
6. Collaborate with the SHEQ team to ensure all training meets health, safety, and environmental standards.
7. Partner with department heads to identify talent and support succession planning.
8. Supervise the Training Administrator and manage training budgets efficiently.
About You
You're an experienced learning and development professional who designs impactful training and drives engagement at every level. You combine exceptional communication skills with a solid understanding of technical or engineering environments.
Essential Criteria:
9. Recognised Train the Trainer certificate (e.g. City & Guilds, ILM, or CIPD).
10. HND/HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline - Mechanical, Electrical, or Health & Safety preferred.
11. Minimum 5 years' experience in a training and development role, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or energy sectors.
12. Proven experience designing and delivering blended learning programmes.
13. Strong understanding of competency frameworks and compliance training.
14. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
15. Excellent stakeholder engagement, planning, and reporting skills.
16. Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel between company sites.
