Coordinator/Lead Teacher
(Full-Time Position)
King’s Kids Christian Academy of Tampa, Inc., a nationally accredited early
childhood center, is seeking to hire a leader who is dedicated to the education of
young children, understands and demonstrates an understanding of the relationship
between teaching and learning, uses ‘best practices’ in guiding early childhood
teachers in the implementation of instructional and discipline practices in
classrooms, has excellent written and verbal skills, knows how to build
collaborative relationships both internally and externally, and overall, encourages
teachers to strive for excellence.
This position is responsible for:
1. Coordinating all instructional implementations.
2. Assisting teachers in developing and implementing lesson plans; evaluating
instructional delivery methods; and on a weekly basis review teachers’
lesson plan reflection.
3. Engaging in quarterly evaluation of teachers that provides the
foundation/data for the annual evaluation of teachers.
4. Distributing ASQ results to teachers and monitoring the implementation of
strategies that address developmental milestones as reflected in the ASQ.
5. Hosting bi-monthly age appropriate team meetings and creating agendas for
the meetings.
6. Maintaining VPK Compliance:
a. Monitoring the STAR Assessment.
b. Compiling the required VPK Notebook for Centers on Probation.
c. Inputting the required data/information to complete the Annual Profile
contract with the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County.
7. Working with the Data/Business Manager to ensure that all attendance
captured for SR, VPK and EHS are accurate.
a. Working with the Data/Business Manager to verify attendance for
uploading into appropriate agency portals:
i. SR
ii. VPK
iii. Step-Up for Students

8. Maintaining the Annual Profiles by submitting current required information
(i.e., license and insurance renewals, staff changes, fire and health
inspections, etc.) for:
a. School Readiness
b. VPK
c. Step-Up for Students
9. Carrying out required monthly fire and quarterly tornado/lockdown drills.
10. Working in collaboration with the Executive Director to:
a. Build informational responses to accreditation reports.
b. Conduct instructional evaluations to satisfy accreditation
requirements.
c. Develop agendas for quarterly staff in-service meetings.
d. Represent the Executive Director at meetings as directed.
This position reports to the Executive Director and works in collaboration with the
Business Manager and Administrative Assistant.
Qualifications—a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
AS/AA required or CDA with demonstrated experience and knowledge in the field
of early childhood education required.
Beginning Salary Range – $18 to $25 per hour. Benefits are available.
