Make a Real Difference in the Lives of Young People.

Are you passionate about supporting children, young people, and families facing challenging circumstances? Whether you’ve worked in youth services, residential care, education, or community support, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

About The Role

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will be working within the Intensive Personalised Support (IPS) team. IPS is an experienced and supportive team, and as a staff member, you will collaborate in delivering personalised, one-to-one support to children and young people across a variety of settings: at home, in schools, and within the community. Our clients may be experiencing a range of needs, including suspected or diagnosed neurodiversity, mental health challenges, trauma, and behaviours considered as complex or high-risk.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Within this role, you will build trusting relationships with children, young people, and their families, delivering structured support plans tailored to each individual’s needs. You will work closely with clinicians and support colleagues to ensure a joined‑up, consistent approach, contributing to assessments and interventions under the guidance of our Clinical Lead. You will promote positive behaviour, emotional resilience, and personal development in young people, while maintaining accurate and professional records using digital tools and systems. This is a varied and rewarding position, ideal for someone with confidence in working independently whilst also valuing team collaboration.

In This Role, You Will

* Deliver personalised support based on a Child or Young Person’s (CYP) support plan.
* Aid in promoting individuals’ independence based on their level of need.
* Assist individuals in accessing the community.
* Help in updating support plans and providing essential observations based on first‑hand experience with the client.
* Report on medical and welfare needs of clients as necessary.
* Monitor individuals’ presentation and report concerns to senior team members or management.
* Provide accurate notes that capture an honest depiction of a session with a client for record‑keeping purposes.
* Update support plans and risk assessments based on any new observations of the CYP.
* Work flexibly throughout varying hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Actively safeguard the individuals we support.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome people from a range of professional backgrounds, particularly those with experience in:

* Youth work or family support.
* Education or alternative provision.
* Residential care or supported living.
* Mental health or wellbeing services.

Why Join ABL Health?

* Flexible annual leave scheme with the ability to buy or sell days of annual leave.

If you’re ready to bring your experience, energy, and empathy to a role where you can truly make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

Join us in helping children and young people across the North West build safer, more stable futures.
