Overview

:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Warehouse Operative on behalf of one of our clients. Applications from ex-military candidates are actively encouraged, however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Order processing and management of key reports for both the warehouse and customers.
2. Client Liaison and escalation point for problems within the warehouse facility.
3. Management of warehouse visitors in conjunction with the warehouse supervisor.
4. Setting up deliveries with couriers and UK hauliers based on both profitability and service dependent on customer requirements balanced with the needs of Xpand.
5. Support the team in their daily duties.
6. Address service failures and analyse root cause with warehouse supervisor.
7. Support the Branch Manager.
8. Develop a strong understanding of our inhouse software to improve routines.
9. Assist within the warehouse including but not limited to Pick & Pack and container loading/unloading.

Essential key skills / experience:

10. Can convey thoughts, information and proposals clearly.
11. Can provide constructive feedback.
12. Able to produce good quality professional documents.
13. Is regarded as a team player.
14. Takes responsibility for developing their own ability.
15. Delivers their tasks and processes with limited oversight from management.
16. Pro-actively identifies improvements to processes and promotes them to the wider team.
17. Is able to manage their time.
18. Minimum 3-5 years experience in a joint office/warehouse facility.
19. Clear communications skills, with the ability to influence others.
20. Present arguments in a grammatically correct, structured and easily understood way.
21. Is personally committed to and actively works to continuously improve themselves.
22. Understands that different situations and levels may call for different skills and approaches; can work to deploy strengths; and can work on compensating for weaknesses and limits.
23. Able to build relationships with team members, along with celebrating and rewarding success.
24. Confidence to make innovative changes to achieve business success.
