Overview
We are a well established Global business based in Woking recruiting an Accounts Assistant for our existing team. The role is suitable for candidates with previous experience in both accounts receivable and payable processes. AAT level 2 or above is preferred, but extensive work experience with no qualifications will also be considered.
Responsibilities
* Input and maintenance of Sales & Purchase Ledger.
* Update Monday's sales invoices with relevant information.
* Ensure purchase order procedures are followed and purchase orders are rejected if required.
* Conduct random audits on Sales and Purchase ledgers in line with SIA audits, confirming processes and performing spot checks for external and internal auditors.
* Administer sales invoices onto third‑party electronic systems (client specific).
* Reconcile various financial accounts (accruals, pre‑payments, etc.) as directed by the Finance Manager.
* Manage and reconcile foreign petty cash.
* Manage petty cash funds and payments, monthly input onto the accounts system, and reconcile.
* Perform first‑stage credit control.
* Enter company payments via BACS, CHAPS, and foreign payments as directed for bank account authorisation.
* Day‑to‑day management of the QuickBooks accounts database.
* Manage subscriptions, pre‑payments, and accruals.
* Audit SG accounts procedures for SIA audits.
* Provide other financial support as requested by the Finance Manager/CFO, including supplier payment details, credit control, and quarterly reconciliations.
* Assist internal clients with supplier queries or sales invoices to clients.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a varied accounts role, including accounts receivable and payable.
* AAT level 2 or above preferred; extensive experience with no qualifications also considered.
* Experience with QuickBooks; candidates with Xero or Sage experience will also be considered.
* Strong Excel skills.
* Self‑starter, able to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, with excellent attention to detail and adaptability to a fast‑paced environment.
