Role Overview
The Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer will maintain, install and refurbish fabric and equipment across the GBS UK estates portfolio. They will monitor building conditions, undertake repairs and renovations, and assist Estates and Facilities in planning refurbishment projects. The role may require travel to other GBS UK campuses and demands flexible working to accommodate business operations. 40‑hour week, covering campus operating hours Monday to Sunday, 7:00am‑9:30pm, with occasional out‑of‑hours work as required.
Responsibilities
* Preventative and reactive maintenance of buildings and equipment.
* Health, safety and compliance oversight.
* Documentation and inventory management.
* Refurbishment and fit‑out projects.
* Travel and flexibility as required.
Qualifications
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
* City & Guilds Level 2 and/or Level 3 in Electrical Installations, or equivalent NVQ, or demonstrable experience to the same standard.
* Previous experience in building maintenance including M&E systems.
* Manual skills and knowledge of refurbishment techniques.
* Flexible, proactive approach with can‑do attitude.
* Familiarity with COSHH requirements for equipment and chemicals.
* Interpersonal skills to work independently and as part of the wider facilities team.
* Full, clean driving licence.
