We’re seeking a Senior Sales Consultant – Government to drive and execute on our FSG go-to-market ambitions into local and central government. This is a senior, consultative sales role suited to someone who deeply understands the public-sector technology landscape, from ERP and finance through to HR, payroll, and procurement reform. You will work across new business and existing account expansion, guiding councils and central departments through their transformation agendas in alignment with UK public-sector modernisation goals. Lead full sales cycles within local authorities, combined authorities, and central departments. Engage CFOs, S151 Officers, CIOs, CTOs, Procurement and Transformation Directors to diagnose challenges and co-create solution pathways. Support and advise councils navigating local government reorganisation, merger, or shared-service initiatives. Guide customers through the finance-spend-governance modernisation journey, ensuring alignment to the Procurement Act 2023 and broader reform agenda. Collaborate with Account Managers and Partner teams to identify and prosecute transformation opportunities within the 70% of councils already using OneAdvanced software. Build and strengthen our partner network to expand capability and coverage within the sector. Align with Pre-Sales, Product and Marketing to articulate a cohesive Office of the CFO value story across the UK public sector. Contribute to thought leadership and sector engagement activity through associations such as CIPFA and SOCITM. Significant experience across of enterprise software or ERP sales experience within public sector, ideally focused on local government. Deep understanding of local and central government structures, procurement processes, and funding models. Strong domain expertise in Finance, ERP, Spend Management or Governance solutions. Demonstrated experience helping authorities navigate technology modernisation, shared services, or local government reorganisation. Established network across local government finance and IT leaders. Background in or partnerships with vendors/SIs such as Microsoft, Oracle, Unit4, SAP, or large public-sector integrators. Collaborative, strategic, and adept at managing long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
