We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team in providing a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating play activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development. This role is crucial in ensuring that children have positive experiences while participating in structured and unstructured play.
Hours: 12 per week, term time only
Hourly Rate: £12.22
Duties
* Supervise and engage with children during playtime to ensure their safety and well-being.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and physical activity.
* Foster a positive atmosphere by promoting inclusivity and respect among children.
* Monitor children\'s behaviour and intervene when necessary to resolve conflicts or ensure adherence to rules.
* Maintain a clean and organized play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and in good condition.
* Communicate effectively with parents or carers regarding children\'s activities and any concerns that may arise.
* Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive program that meets the needs of all participants.
Requirements
* Qualification in childcare, preferable
* Previous experience working with children in a play or educational setting is preferred.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children and their families.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with children are essential qualities for this role.
