The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) is looking for additional doctors to work as part of the multidisciplinary team at our Tiverton Urgent Treatment Centre. The UTC sees a variety of injuries and illnesses in all age groups, and offers on‑site x‑ray and point‑of‑care testing. We aim to provide care closer to home and relieve pressure on the urgent and emergency care system.
Key Aspects Of The Role
* Provide face‑to‑face consultations directly with patients, relatives and/or their carers
* Deliver patient‑centred care
* Use point‑of‑care diagnostics to support decision making
* Undertake appropriate prescribing
* Provide onward referral of patients if appropriate
* Work as part of the clinical team to provide primary care support
* Support other clinicians in the unit with clinical advice
* Contribute to a positive team ethos
