Position Summary Trust Doctor in Internal Medicine (GIM) (FY2 or above level) at East Surrey Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
Provide acute and general internal medicine care for short‑stay patients in the 28‑bed Short Stay Unit.
Collaborate with two consultants in General Internal Medicine (Short Stay Unit) and other multidisciplinary team members.
Participate in virtual and follow‑up clinics run by consultants.
Engage in educational activities, simulation training, teaching and quality improvement work in the department.
Contribute to audit and research projects.
Support a team of specialty doctors, trust doctors, and FY1 doctors.
Assist in rotation to other specialties within the Trust’s coordinated programme.
Qualifications & Experience
FY2 level or above; completed Foundation programme or equivalent.
Experience in acute and/or general internal medicine.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Interest in education, simulation training and quality improvement.
Where You’ll Work East Surrey Hospital, East Surrey, South Croydon. The short‑stay unit is located in Godstone ward and offers a wide range of clinical experience.
