Field Service Engineer (Plant)
Location: Essex
Pay: A GBP 18.00 to A GBP 20.00 per hour (DOE) + Regular Overtime (15-20 Hours per Week at 1.5x : OTE A GBP 65,000+). Included: Company van (can be used personally), fuel card, door-to-door travel paid, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, laptop.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week; up to 60 hours in overtime.
We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer with experience working on hydraulics and, ideally, lifting equipment, plant machinery, forklifts or similar. The successful candidate will carry out repair and service work on container lifting equipment across Essex ports, traveling directly to customer sites from home and acting as a representative of the company in the region.
The role offers regular overtime but no requirement for call out or weekend working.
Role Responsibilities
* Service and repair of lifting equipment.
* Cover client sites in the Essex/Kent area.
* Work on a 40 hour contract with up to 60 hours availability with overtime (paid at 1.5x).
* No out-of-hours call out.
Candidate Profile
* Mechanically biased engineer.
* Experience with hydraulics.
* Background within lifting, plant, or similar.
