Our client is seeking a highly motivated Network Coordination Officer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is essential in managing and coordinating streetworks in compliance with relevant legislation and ensuring minimal disruption to the road network. Key Responsibilities: Delivering duties under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA) and Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA) Evaluating and managing the coordination, inspection, and enforcement of highway activities Assessing permit applications for accuracy and compliance with the London Permit Scheme Issuing fixed penalty notices, defects, and other NRSWA related requirements Monitoring permit applications and major projects to identify work clashes and collaboration opportunities Managing external inspections throughout the borough and coordinating on-street activities for safety and compliance Producing and maintaining comprehensive records and reports of all street works activities Liaising with utility companies, emergency services, and other stakeholders to coordinate highway activities and address emergencies Job Requirements: Experience in a street works related environment with a solid understanding of relevant legislation Proven expertise in traffic management and permit application assessments Confident use of relevant IT systems and software for monitoring and coordination Strong negotiation skills and experience in resolving issues with utility...
