The Role As Mechanical Assembly Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of mechanical assembly operations within the company's modern facility. You'll play a pivotal role in managing production schedules, supervising teams, and ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety across all activities. This role would particularly suit someone with a background or working knowledge of plumbing or mechanical building services, looking to take the next step into leadership and operational management. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage mechanical assembly teams and supervisors, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production schedules. Liaise with Project Managers and production teams to coordinate resources and ensure projects are ready for build. Review and approve mechanical assembly drawings for accuracy and compliance. Oversee the development and implementation of assembly procedures and operational improvements. Manage subcontractors, materials, and machinery maintenance. Support weekly progress reporting and monitor project KPIs. Identify and develop team skills, fostering growth and high performance within the assembly department. Ensure all work meets company quality, safety, and environmental standards. About You Essential: Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or similar leadership role. Relevant MEP trade qualification (mechanical or plumbing background highly beneficial). Strong organisational and planning skills. Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office & Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated, structured, and capable of managing multiple priorities. Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable: Experience leading continuous improvement or lean initiatives.
