Role Overview: The Corporate Services Director will provide Board-level leadership across IT, People, Finance, ESG and Governance functions, ensuring these disciplines operate cohesively to support business performance and compliance. The role will report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with the leadership team to enable CFMs strategic growth. It is a pivotal appointment that will drive: Financial discipline and scalability Data-driven decision-making and systems integration People development and leadership maturity Strong governance, assurance, and ESG performance Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Lead the Corporate Services function, shaping strategy and delivery across IT, HR, Finance and ESG Ensure alignment between corporate priorities and operational performance Act as a trusted advisor to the MD, Directors and Board Finance & Systems Provide financial leadership and oversight of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting Strengthen integration between operational and financial systems Drive automation and simplification of processes to improve accuracy and insight People & Organisation Lead implementation of the three-year People Plan and Balanced Scorecard Develop leadership and talent management frameworks across business units Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement IT, Data & AI Oversee digital transformation, cybersecurity, and data management Ensure technology supports operational efficiency and strategic decision-making Lead initiatives that leverage automation, analytics, and AI-readiness Governance & Risk Strengthen assurance, compliance, and ESG reporting across the business Embed consistent risk management, audit, and quality assurance frameworks Ensure systems and policies support a high-trust, high-performance culture You will be a commercially astute, forward-thinking leader who thrives on improvement and collaboration Essential Experience: Senior leadership in a complex, multi-site organisation Strategic financial management and corporate governance experience Track record of modernising systems, teams, and reporting frameworks Excellent communication and influencing skills Desirable Experience: Sector background in construction, FM, engineering or manufacturing Experience with digital transformation and ESG strategy Professional qualification (ACA, CIPFA, CIMA, or equivalent) Competencies: Analytical and structured thinker with commercial acumen Values-driven and people-focused Pragmatic and resilient, with a continuous improvement mindset Leadership Culture & Fit At CFM, leadership is about clarity, accountability, and care.
