Inspire & Excel at Rainhill High

Are you passionate about Computer Science and IT and have the ability to provide strong leadership and strategic direction to a small Computing Faculty?

We are seeking to appoint a creative, ambitious, talented and dynamic Head of Faculty for January 2026 to lead a small team of specialists. You should have leadership experience with a strong track record of improvement as well as being a strong classroom practitioner.

The successful candidate will have expert subject knowledge and must be able to teach all Key Stages, including GCSE and A Level. You will be a forward thinking, inspirational practitioner who has the drive and is suitably motivated and ready to share their expertise and experience with our inspiring, curious and remarkable students delivering outstanding lessons and supporting in the development of our curriculum and exciting co-curricular offer.

You will be joining a committed team of staff, who work with enthusiastic and positive students who are keen to learn.

* Degree
* Recent Participation in Relevant In-Service Training
* Leadership & Management
* Experience of a middle leadership role
* Experience of carrying out quality assurance (QA)
* Experience of leading CPD
* The capacity for sustained hard work and resilience
* The ability to motivate and inspire others
* The ability to work with a range of stakeholders
* Professional knowledge and understanding
* Subject National Curriculum – All Key Stages
* Assessment
* Teaching and Learning Strategies
* Ability to Teach Subject to GCSE
* Ability to Teach Subject to A-Level
* Willingness to assist in delivery of extracurricular activities
* An awareness of safeguarding children issues
* Personal Skills and Attributes

* High Level of Communication and Interpersonal Skills
