An established and respected accountancy firm with a long history of supporting clients across the UK is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Senior to join their growing team.

The Role
As a Tax Senior, you will take responsibility for managing your own client portfolio, delivering high-quality tax compliance services, and assisting with advisory work. The position combines hands-on compliance, client relationship management, and mentoring of junior team members offering a clear pathway for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance
Prepare and review corporation tax and/or personal tax returns.
Draft computations and supporting schedules, including capital allowances, benefits in kind, and capital gains.
Ensure all filings and payments are made accurately and on time.
Liaise with HMRC to resolve queries and manage correspondence.
Client Management
Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day client queries.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing clear and practical tax advice.
Proactively manage client information, workloads, and deadlines.
Technical & Advisory
Identify tax planning opportunities and support on advisory projects.
Assist with preparing technical notes and advisory documentation.
Stay up to date with relevant tax legislation and HMRC guidance.
Team Support
Review and provide feedback on work prepared by junior staff.
Contribute to team development and share technical knowledge.
Maintain a positive and collaborative working environment.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in a tax compliance role (practice or in-house).
ATT / CTA qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
Strong working knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance processes.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
Proficient with tax software (e.g., CCH, Digita, or similar) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
