A leading UK manufacturer is looking for an experienced Procurement Lead to oversee strategic sourcing, supplier management, and purchasing operations across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is a key leadership role focused on ensuring continuity of supply, driving cost savings, improving supplier performance, and supporting operational excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement procurement strategies
* Lead supplier negotiations and contract management
* Build strong supplier relationships and improve performance
* Manage purchasing activity to support production demands
* Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities
* Monitor stock levels and support inventory control
* Lead and develop the procurement team
* Work closely with operations, engineering, finance, and quality teams
About You
* Strong procurement leadership experience within manufacturing
* Excellent commercial negotiation skills
* Proven ability to manage suppliers and deliver cost improvements
* Experience working in fast-paced operational environments
* Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving ability
Desirable
* CIPS qualification
* ERP/MRP systems experience
* Background in packaging or industrial manufacturing
