The role

As Lifecare Chemistry continues to grow, we are looking for our next Senior Scientist – Biosensor Testing and Development to join our team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity for a curious, hands-on scientist who wants to contribute to the development of next-generation implantable biosensor technology.

In this role, you will work at the forefront of scientific innovation, helping to transform research into reliable, real-world solutions. You will design and run thoughtful experiments, analyse sensor performance, investigate technical challenges and turn complex data into clear insight that supports product development and decision-making.

As part of a small and focused team, you will take ownership of the testing side of our chemistry work. The role is hands-on and varied: one day you may be developing and documenting a new testing methodology or procedure, and the next you may be investigating unexpected sensor behaviour, reviewing long-term performance data or defining the next steps needed to improve reliability and performance.
