Your role
The Site Engineer II (SE) is responsible for infrastructure activities in Data Centres to ensure reliable and efficient operation of electrical and mechanical infrastructure through maintenance, testing, and surveillance of assets. This includes troubleshooting, assembly, and scheduling of maintenance tasks. The role involves meeting SLAs, delivering client satisfaction, and participating in a 7x24 shift rotation if required.
What you’ll do
* Ensure safety policies, operational efficiency, and core values are followed.
* Maintain compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
* Manage maintenance and repair operations, coordinating with subcontractors.
* Perform on-call duties and manage incidents.
* Document progress and issues, and implement improvements.
* Supervise Site Engineers I, including task assignment and performance evaluation.
* Demonstrate technical proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance.
* Assist in writing and reviewing operating procedures and planning maintenance or change requests.
What you’ll need
* Experience in ‘Mission critical’ operations and maintenance of large-scale electrical and mechanical systems.
* Technical education or certification in ‘Mission Critical’ operations.
* HVAC Mechanical and/or Electrical expertise.
* Good computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Ability to work in shifts.
* Vocational education in a technical field or site engineering experience.
* Skills in maintaining data center electrical and mechanical systems, including high and low voltage power, cooling systems, and building management systems.
* Preferably skilled in electrical switching and isolation procedures in critical environments.
* Proactive, customer-focused, with attention to detail and a hands-on approach.
