Field Service Representative
Working location: UK RAF Customer Bases / International Customer Bases
Rolls‑Royce is contracted to deliver a range of technical support services and maintenance capabilities for domestic and international air forces on multiple fast jet and transport aircraft engines. As a Mobile Field Service Representative you will provide local technical support for operation and maintenance of customer engines, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues so as to minimise operational disruption.
The role is part of a pool of Field Service Representatives who support customers at various international and UK locations through multi‑year postings. The initial posting for this role will be at Warton near Preston for approximately 2 years. Only individuals eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance may apply.
Responsibilities
* Resolve customer technical issues in line with contractual requirements, supporting customer satisfaction and complaint targets.
* Record engine events and data, highlighting issues that impact fleet reliability and operability to the wider organisation.
* Manage in‑service customer relationships across various levels within the customer, OEM and supplier organisations.
* Monitor and input fleet data, liaising with the customer community on short‑term fleet planning and availability to maintain confidence in service levels and manage expectations.
* Lead and conduct maintenance activities where engine maintenance and repair is carried out.
Qualifications
* Technical competence at least HND level or equivalent relevant experience.
* Experience of aircraft propulsion system and maintenance at ML1 / ML2; trained within the propulsion trade or holding equivalent qualifications.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements (military and/or civil).
* Experience in a customer‑facing environment.
* Responsive, flexible and agile in your work.
Security clearance: Requires UK Security Check clearance; Rolls‑Royce will support application if not already in place. Candidates must be UK nationals or dual nationals (MoD approved).
Grade: SNBG 7‑10
