Glangwilli Hospital will be the main base but there may be a requirement to assist in Cardigan Intergrated Care Centre.

Main duties of the job
This is a varied and exciting post; as a Radiographer you will be working within the general radiography department and will gain experience in outpatient, inpatient, portable, theatre and fluoroscopy. You will be given a training/competency preceptorship plan and will be fully supported to become trained in all the general radiography areas.
The appointment will be 37.5 hours per week including long days, evening, nights, weekends and bank holidays shifts.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and Knowledge
* HCPC registered Diagnostic Radiographer
* Working experience as a Diagnostic Radiographer
Experience
* Skilled in projectional radiography techniques and modification of exposure factors
* Experience of using radiology IT and PACS systems to record and review patient specific information
* Experience of using different systems i.e., CR, DR and equipment from different providers
Skills and Attributes
* Able to work effectively both as an individual and as part of a team
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, friendly, caring and empathetic
* Methodical and organised approach to work, being able to prioritise, multitask, and work quickly and effectively in a busy environment
* Good attention to detail, being able to ensure actions are in line with IR(ME)R and all other regulations relevant to diagnostic imaging and health care environments
* Manual dexterity, hand eye coordination and technical skills required to produce optimal quality diagnostic radiography images
* Trained in undertaking intravenous cannulation
* Welsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh

* Able to travel between sites in a timely manner to support service delivery needs as required
* Flexible to meet the needs of the service, which may require working unsocial hours, weekend work, or on-call systems
