Security Officer Corporate - Eastleigh- Chandlers Ford
Shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off days, average 38 hours per week over the year.
Hourly rate: £12.40
Job Overview
* Protect customers' property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the site’s published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and any subsequent changes.
* Deliver results that meet and/or exceed the Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer, providing a service that aids in contract retention.
* Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self‑development.
* Assume various positions within the building, issue passes and keys, monitor CCTV, cover reception, and manage visitors from contractors to business personnel.
* Conduct patrols and provide reports.
* Use MS Office, CCTV and access control systems.
Operations
* Ensure compliance with all policies, relevant legal and regulatory requirements directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies.
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions.
* Review and familiarize yourself with Assignment Instructions, suggesting amendments to improve service level.
* Hold and wear a front‑line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision at all times.
* Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements, follow instructions and procedures appropriately.
* Work systematically, methodically and orderly.
Training
* Complete all required competency training satisfactorily.
* Undertake additional training directed by the Security Account Manager.
* Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop professional expertise through continual development.
* Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
* Report Health & Safety hazards or potential hazards immediately.
* Stay alert to threats or changes in the work environment, taking appropriate action to reduce disruption, loss or damage.
* Use common sense and initiative, involving others if a situation appears threatening.
* Maintain professional conduct in challenging situations and with demanding customers.
* Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry promptly after any incident, for use in the Incident Report process.
* Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
* Ensure check calls are made at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions.
* Call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.
