TXM is working with a global Rail company that is currently recruiting a Category Manager based in Southport. Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced candidate to join their expanding team.
As a Category Manager, you'll:
* Leverage competitive advantage and drive best-in-class supplier performance.
* Develop and implement category strategies and supplier development plans.
* Lead contracting arrangements, including framework agreements and long-term contracts.
* Build and manage strong supplier relationships to ensure delivery of business objectives.
* Analyse and interpret complex data to support strategic decisions.
* Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
* Travel across the UK (and occasionally overseas) to support supplier engagement and projects.
Desired skills & experience:
* Degree qualified and CIPS Level 5/6 (or equivalent).
* Minimum 3+ years' procurement experience in consumables/fasteners within a manufacturing or distributed product environment.
* This is a hybrid role with flexibility around the days in the office, but travelling will be a big part to play in this role.
