Rate: £82ph LTD (Outside IR35)
Role details:
Our client, a leading defence and security company, are looking for DV cleared Software/DevOps Engineers to join their team on a contract basis. This is a fully onsite role with the option of compressed hours.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborating with coworkers to conceptualise, develop, and release software.
* Conducting quality assurance to ensure that the software meets prescribed guidelines.
* Rolling out fixes and upgrades to software, as needed.
* Securing software to prevent security breaches and other vulnerabilities.
* Collecting and reviewing customer feedback to enhance user experience.
* Suggesting alterations to workflow in order to improve efficiency and success.
* Pitching ideas for projects based on gaps in the market and technological advancements.
Job Requirements:
* Candidate must hold active DV Clearance
* Strong proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Gitlab CI, Terraform, Ansible, Helm Charts, Python, PowerShell, and REST APIs.
* Experience with Kubernetes cluster build and application delivery.
* Application experience with Apache NiFi, Elastic ECK, and Artifactory.
* Knowledge of secret management tools, particularly Hashicorp Vault.
* Proficiency in operating systems, specifically Redhat and Windows.
* Degree in computer science, software engineering, or an adjacent field.
* Prior experience at all phases of the software product life cycle, from conception to extinction.
* Experience using an array of automation tools.
* Familiarity with software security methods.
* Demonstrated experience using a wide variety of coding languages.
* Top-notch decision-making and collaborative abilities.
* Customer-oriented with the ability to receive and use constructive criticism.
